Remington (then Mariner) Hotels founder Archie Bennett opens his first hotel - the Holiday Inn Galveston, Texas
1970's
Oil boom in Texas stimulates strong demand for hotels, Remington develops 600 room hotel in downtown Houston. Remington also forms joint venture with Marriott Hotels; develops and operates 10 Marriott properties, becoming the largest Marriott franchisee at the time.
1980's
Remington forms a partnership with the Fisher Brothers, Gordon Getty and George Soros to become the largest buyer of non-performing hotel loans from the federal Resolution Trust Corporation, serving as asset and property manager for operating hotels. Remington moves the company from Houston to Dallas, Texas.
1990's
Remington pioneers the all-suite concept and partners with the Embassy Suites brand to develop 150-room hotels across the United States, building hotels in Austin, Dallas, Houston, Las Vegas and near Dulles Airport. Hilton, Intercontinental and Starwood branded hotels are added to the Remington portfolio.
2000's
Redevelops the Sea Turtle Inn hotel in Atlantic Beach, Florida outside of Jacksonville to the luxurious One Ocean Resort and Spa.
Becomes a Starwood Preferred Management Company for the following brands: Westin, Sheraton, Le Meridien, Four Points by Sheraton, Aloft, and Element.
Remington principals launch Ashford Hospitality Trust with $250 million in assets. Six wholly owned Remington hotels are included to seed the launch and IPO.
2011
Remington takes over management of 17 hotels as part of the Highland portfolio, increasing the number of brands under management as well as the number of independent hotels in the portfolio.
2013
Remington takes over management of 8 hotels with Marriott brands in Texas, California and Virginia, as well as the luxurious Pier House Resort and Spa in Key West, Florida.
Remington is featured in the April 2013 issue of Hotel Business magazine, highlighting the company's growth in its property management portfolio and project management efforts.

Remington assumes management of Dallas/Fort Worth Airport Marriott and adds Hotel Yountville to complement Bardessono, increasing Remington's presence in Napa Valley.
2018
Sloan Dean takes over as Chief Operating Officer and comes to Remington from sister company Ashford, where he held the position of SVP of Revenue Optimization & Underwriting.
Remington assumes management of La Posada de Santa Fe, A Tribute Portfolio Resort & Spa.
2019
Remington assumes management of Hilton Santa Cruz/Scotts Valley.
Jarrad J. Evans joins Remington as Chief Investment Officer and brings with him 20+ years of experience in business development and acquisition leadership positions in the hospitality and leisure industries.
Ashford Inc. agrees to acquire Remington Hotels.
